Alex are you on FriendFeed? If not, you wouldn't see the difference
between the two. FriendFeed aggregates all your feeds into one place,
and then allows dicussion of those items with other users. It is far
easier to follow conversations than with Twitter and also gives you
'rooms' which are excellent.

FriendFeed does more than Twitter and also has more 'familiar'
features. It's worth will be in opening Facebook up from being a
closed (i.e., you have to be a friend to see the content) network, to
a more open and searchable network.

@scottgould I must say, I can't really see where FF differs from twitter except that it seems twitter came first and less people are signed up to FF. Good post though.

Paul - pleasure as always to talk with you.

This isn't really a peice on FriendFeed as such - but your point about 'not getting' FriendFeed does reinforce my claim that the mass market and innovative services / ideas like FriendFeed are far apart.

FriendFeeds value will effect you when it's technology gets implemented into Facebook and it becomes more applicable to you - which is the innovation cycle.

Otherwise - trust you're well and have settled in!

Cripes. I can log in with my Twitter alias?

Er, back to topic... Being a bit of a DigiComeAgain? I 've been hearing about this Friendfeed thing with detached bafflement, so it's nice of you Scott to come to rescue me from the dragons of ignorance. Again.

The thing I don't quite get about things like FriendFeed are (a) how does anybody have time to follow all that stuff? and (b) what happens if none of your friends are interested in the same stuff as you are, or (c) are really that into sharing?

I don't have time to follow all that stuff, not many people are into my stuff, and hardly anybody I know is that much into sharing, so I struggle a bit to understand the value of things like FriendFeed.

I suppose that's more of a ramble than anything - it's my recurring difficulty with understanding what this new-fangled social media thing (which I suppose I'm doing right now) is really all about. It still looks like a whole lot of real-time, public email to me.

Since I'm in severe danger of completely losing the thread here, I'll stop - except suffice to say I like the cut of your jib (gib?) on the whole ExperienceAgency thing. But you know that. :)
