TV

I sit down and switch on the TV:
Everybody’s going crazy right in front of me,
Living hectic lives uncontrollably.

The talk shows, the soaps, the news,
Seems every other person’s getting sued.
Too much from which to choose.

Feeding from the box hour after hour,
Some sweet, some sour.
The cables possessing more and more power.

Terrestrial, Cable, Satellite, and Digital,
Prices going cheaper because we’re so gullible.
24 hour viewing, some safe, some unsuitable.

No more need to touch the buttons below,
Now I choose my poison with my own remote control.
There’s no control.
